Alternative Femininity represents a transsexual caught in a relaxing moment of the everyday life. The character smokes a posh tiny cigarette sitting in a provocative position with spread legs and showing nudity with a certain familiarity.
Using a provocative character, the Artist represents an “alternative femininity” with a transgressive approach; going through a different sexual identity the Artist intends to represent femininity as a human attitude rather than a straight sexual orientation.
The Work shines for its peculiar style, indeed hard to connect with an “officially recognized category”: the visible architectural elements mixed with the modern approach and a cozy chromaticism make this Painting part of its own artistic identity.
