Matrix
Acrylic on Canvas; 110x77cm
In Matrix the Artist represents a robot woman sitting and absorbed in her thoughts; she’s observed by her own eyes appearing through the sinuous movement of her tail.
The Lady sits confused and tired, like taking a rest from a fast and aggressive society which doesn’t give time to focus on herself.
Particular relevant elements are:
1) Expression of the woman eyes representing her fears and disorientation;
2) Strong architectural identity stylized between modern design and vibrant coloring;
3) Symbolic presence of a tail incorporated in the woman body: the attempt to become an alien, a super woman ready to face and resist the daily trials;
4) Mysterious sequence of numbers evoking the inevitable march of time.
Although confused, the Lady doesn’t renounce to show her elegant sensuality clearly represented with her “generous curves” and the bewitching position of the crossed legs.
